How it works

A place to call every race of the 2026 midterms, and to be proved right.

All 435 House seats, 35 Senate races (including special elections) and 36 races for governor. Candidates, incumbents and the expert ratings come from the Cook Political Report, Sabato's Crystal Ball and Inside Elections as of the final days of the campaign.

On the forecast map, click any state or district to open it and pick a winner, or choose the D or R brush and paint races straight onto the map. Each pick has a confidence: Tilt (55%), Lean (70%), Likely (85%), Safe (97%). Picks are kept in your browser and, once you sign in with Discord or X, saved to your account so they follow you anywhere.

When a race is called, a right pick earns 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 points (tilt to safe) and a wrong one costs 10 / 40 / 80 / 150. Calling an upset against the experts earns a 50-point bonus. Being sure pays only when you're right.

Each race's chance (from the experts, the crowd or your own picks) becomes a hidden margin. Every run adds one national swing shared by all races, plus noise for each race, and counts who won. Thousands of runs give the odds of control and the spread of seat counts.

The map draws the Census Bureau's 119th Congress districts. A few states redrew their maps for 2026, so district shapes there are approximate, while the candidates and ratings follow the 2026 lines.
